our inspiration

no longer with us, but the inspiration and motivation for Spaces2Places... a teacher, a world traveler and possessing the most incredible zest for life... Dad's treasures and sands he collected from beaches all over the world are on proud display at the original Spaces2Places project...

The Paradise Pub!

from a simple broken fence project to the
Paradise Pub...
Spaces 2 Places was born

In Spring of 2020 and with some extra time on my hands due to the pandemic, I took on a project of replacing our old, worn-out, broken BLUE fence… no big deal needed to be done. Well, that turned into my wife wanting me to make a couple cedar planter boxes… then a new patio area… then a fire pit…  then cleaning the garden… then planting trees… being such a good husband I did it all! ;)

Once completed, it was evident that the large shed which is open to the rest of the yard, full of my junk, needed a facelift as the rest of the yard was now much improved.

After a few ‘beverages’ and staring at the work ahead of me, I asked my wife what she thought of a small Tiki Bar? well, that small Tiki Bar took on a life of its own and transformed our ugly, junk-filled shed into the Paradise Pub!

It’s amazing how an area of our yard that we never used and was honestly an embarrassment is now where we spend as much time as we can… meals, bonfires, friends, laying in the hammock watching the NHL Playoffs… heck, I’m sitting in Paradise now as I write this!

I recently posted some before and after pictures on Facebook and the responses were amazing!

Enter SPACES 2 PLACES away from home… at home!

I decided I want to do this for other people… to renew an area of their house, or property and create a happy place… a destination at home. I want to meet the families, get to know them, talk about their vacations, stories and favourite things and create a space in which they will feel… as Patch Adams would say ‘excessive happiness’!

An added bonus, and my wife’s favorite part, is that all my ‘treasures and artifacts’ from my travels around the world: masks, weapons, art… are now off the walls in the house and in Paradise!

During these times of restricted, or hesitation to travel, or perhaps for those who can no longer travel for what ever reason… what better gift to give someone… happiness.

Let's create your happy place!

                                                                                                                        Cheers!

Keith
